Did you know that St. Kitts is one island and St. Nevis is another. They are just about 2 miles away from each other but since they are so close, they are one country together.
Brief History Paragraph
It all started with the Carib Indians. Then comes the British who invaded and settled here in 1623. They were here for about 344 years. In 1967, Saint Christopher-Nevis-Anguilla came and claimed this land. Saint Kitts and Nevis was the UKs territory until 1983. The people of these islands declared independance and theyve been free islands every since.
Cool and Interesting Paragraph
What makes these islands cool is the many sports they play here. Cricket is very well know and played often. Saint Kitts and Nevis was the smallest country to host the 2007 Cricket World Cup. Some other sports that are played is Rugby and Netball. Also, the soccer team made it to the semi-finals of the 2007 FIFA World Cup. Enough about sports already, some other things that make this place interesting is the languages spoken. English is the most spoken language but there is also a language called Saint Kitts Creole that the natives usually speak. Let's talk about some statistics.
